Spring is Lingering

We have a robin's nest we have been keeping an eye on for a couple of weeks now.  Those 3 little birds sure keep their parents busy.  Clara and I have spent some time just watching them fly in and out feeding those 3 little mouths and you can always here them chirping when one of the parents returns with something to eat.  It's been fun to watch.

There's a cat that roams the neighborhood and Clara really loves this cat.  She would love to get a cat, but we aren't ready to venture down that path yet.  On this day, she just sat/laid out there with the cat scratching it's ears and singing to it.
A look at one of the roses that I planted last summer.
Another shot with the cat, this time Sophia.

Day at the Zoo

It's Spring Break for us this week, but they really should call it Summer Break.  It was just shy of 90 degrees today...the day we picked to go to the zoo.  I didn't take very many pictures, but did get the camera out to take some pictures of the flamingos.  They were fun to watch.  Sophia loved how the one was sleeping.

Sweaty little girls, but they had a lot of fun.

Passion

This little girl sure does have it.  I don't know if I was just too busy to notice it with my other kids, because I was taking care of 3 at a time instead of just one.  Whatever it is though, Clara loves ballet with a passion.  It was parent observation day, so I got to sit in on a class.  She was attentive and determined to get it right.  She really does work hard and stays focused throughout the class.  It will be interesting to see where this takes her, whether it be further in ballet or just applied to something new, she is one determined little girl when it comes to her passion.
