To go with current trend, Clara decided to get her teeth in a very vampire-ish way. She got her two bottom teeth like normal and in such a way that we didn't notice she had teeth until I saw something white in her mouth, back before Thanksgiving. Then in the beginning of January I looked in her mouth and saw something white on the top gums. I decided there was no way this could be a tooth because it was off on the right side and not in the middle, but sure enough it was a little tooth popping up. Still no discomfort on her part, or any that she let us know about. Last week I noticed that on the left side her gums were all red and figured I was going to have vampire baby until those middle two teeth decided to come in. I really wanted to get a picture of this, but she would have none of me messing around with her mouth to get a good shot. You'll just have to imagine it. Well on Monday, she decided she didn't want to be a vampire and two middle teeth basically caught up with that left one and all 3 of them!!! broke through on Tuesday. Needless to say, she was very grumpy--for her, which was still rather mellow. Now she will have 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom, which still makes for a silly grin that I really wish I could capture in a picture.
